Daly and his wife, Dr. Sally Bowie Daly, also an LSU Health New Orleans School of Dentistry graduate, own Fleur de Lis Mobile Dentistry, which travels to nursing homes throughout the state to provide care to residents.
In 2008, Daly completed the Medical College of Georgia and AAID Implant Maxi Course, and since 2009, he has been a member of the Advanced Dental Implant Studies at the Atlanta Institute for Advanced Education. He is an associate fellow of the Academy of Implant Dentistry and holds fellowships in the International Congress of Oral Implantology, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American College of Dentists, the Pierre Fauchaurd Academy, and the Academy of Dentistry International.
Daly has served in numerous leadership roles during his career, including as president of the Greater Baton Rouge Dental Association, the LSU Health New Orleans School of Dentistry Alumni Association and the Louisiana Dental Association (LDA). He has served as the 12th district representative to the American Dental Association (ADA) Committee for the New Dentist, ex-officio member to the ADA Council on Dental Practice, and ex-officio to the ADA Council on Annual Session and International Programs. He was chairman of the LDA State Membership Committee and a delegate to both the LDA and the ADA House of Delegates. He was a founding member of the Baton Rouge Community Clinic, the Baton Rouge Study Club, and the Baton Rouge CEREC Study Club. He is a tripartite member of the ADA and a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the Academy of Dentistry International, and presently serves on the New Orleans Dental Conference committee.
Daly’s honors include the LSU Health New Orleans School of Dentistry Alumni Association Leadership Award, as well as the LDA New Dentist and Service awards. His notable accomplishments include spearheading the creation of a dental auxiliary board in the LDA and serving as a dental provider for various religious organizations, including the Diocese of Baton Rouge, Evergreen Presbyterian Ministries, and the Brothers of the Sacred Heart. He participates in Donated Dental Services, is the State Chairman for Freedom Day USA, and was a past staff member of Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. Daly also founded the LDA/Foundation Fishing Rodeo in 2001, which raises money for projects such as Louisiana Mission of Mercy. He also serves as outreach coordinator and host to LSU Health New Orleans dental students who participate in the rodeo.
He has served as a guest lecturer for numerous organizations such as the American Dental Association Smart Start Program, the Greater Baton Rouge Hygiene Association, the Greater Baton Rouge Cancer Society, the Baton Rouge Lupus Society and Our Lady of the Lake Surgical Technology School.
Daly's exemplary service to the dental profession and the community includes service to his alma mater. The Dalys are faithful supporters of the LSU Health New Orleans School of Dentistry. They are members of the Committee of 100, major contributors to the preclinical lab campaign, and have hosted fundraisers for the school in their home. Daly has also helped with board development, legislative initiatives and alumni events.
